Coming via the films official Facebook page for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, here's your first look at the "new" version of Superman's iconic emblem. The film stars Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Amy Adams as
Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Richard Schiff as Dr. Hamilton, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Ayelet Zureras as Lara Lor-Van, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. Man Of Steel is set for release June 14th, 2013.

Henry Cavill plays Superman in director Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. The film also stars Amy Adams as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Laurence Fishburne as her editor-in-chief, Perry White. Starring as Clark Kent's adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, are Diane Lane and Kevin Costner.

Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Michael Shannon, and Faora, Zod's evil partner, played by Antje Traue. Also from Superman's native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman's mother, played by Ayelet Zurer, and Superman's father, Jor-El, portrayed by Russell Crowe. Rounding out the cast are Harry Lennix as U.S. military man General Swanwick, as well as Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy.

Yahoo! Movies UK have debuted a new international trailer for the stop-motion animated zombie film ParaNorman, which comes from Laika, the animation studio which previously had a hand in Coraline, and is released on August 17th 2012. Chris Butler (Coraline storyboard supervisor) wrote and will co-direct the film with Sam Fell (The Tale of Despereaux, Flushed Away) and the voice cast includes Kodi Smit-McPhee, Casey Affleck, Tempest Bledsoe, Jeff Garlin, John Goodman, Bernard Hill, Anna Kendrick, Leslie Mann, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Elaine Stritch.

When a small town comes under siege by zombies, who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman, who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he'll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst, of all, grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.

Following the first image of Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games) in Hush director Mark Tonderai's latest horror flick House at the End of the Street, here's the first trailer for the film. Scheduled for release September 21st, the film centers on a mother and daughter, Elisabeth Shue and Jennifer Lawrence respectively, who move into a new community and find themselves next door to a house in which a psychotic young girl murdered her parents. While the locals insist the girl vanished after the brutal murders, the young newcomer befriends the surviving son (Max Theriot) and discovers the sinister story is far from over.

With release date for The Cabin in the Woods fast approaching Lionsgate have sent us this cool "quotes" poster featuring a huge number of quotes from our fellow UK film bloggers and us (see if you can find ours) and a special fan question interview with writer Joss Whedon. Directed by Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) the film is described as"five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods. Bad things happen." the film features a cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford, Amy Acker and Fran Kranz.

Dimension Films have released a new red-band trailer for Piranha 3DD, the sequel to 2010?s surprise horror hit. This time round the directing duties fall to John Gulager, who previously helmed the fantastic Feast trilogy, and the script comes from Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (The Collector).

Yesterday we had two trailers (one IMAX, one US) for the film but now here's another one - this time a UK version with new footage and new music - for Ridley Scott's forthcoming sci-fi flick Prometheus, which stars Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Kate Dickie, Sean Harris, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green and Idris Elba.

In the distant future, two superpowers control Earth and fight each other for all the solar system's natural resources. When one side dispatches a team to a distant planet to terraform it for human colonization, the team discovers an indigenous race of bio-mechanoid killers.

Artistic director announces Pixar's latest to close the festival Wednesday, March 14th 2012 | 11:18:45

First Minister Alex Salmond and Chris Fujiwara, Artistic Director, Edinburgh International Film Festival, have announced that the much anticipated Disney-Pixar animated film Brave, which is set in mythical Scotland and features some of the UK's best-loved stars, will receive a glittering European premiere in Edinburgh, on the closing night of the 66th Edinburgh International Film Festival.

The red carpet will be rolled out at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre for a host of stars and filmmakers on 30th June when the animated tale of a courageous Scottish heroine is unveiled. The First Minister made the announcement about the premiere during his speech at VisitScotland's Winning Years Conference in Perth today. Mr Salmond told an audience of tourism specialists, operators and business people assembled to discuss how they could maximise promotional activity by focusing on major events and milestones in the next few years:

I am delighted to announce that Hollywood will roll into town during the Edinburgh International Film Festival when we host the European premiere of Brave. This will present us with an immense opportunity when Scotland will be centre stage in the film with all the tourism and business opportunities this will bring. I fully expect that as the film launches across the world, so will awareness of Scotland increase.

Chris Fujiwara, Artistic Director, Edinburgh International Film Festival, added:

We're delighted to host the premiere of Brave and continue the Festival's long relationship with Disney. Though we are an international film festival, we're mindful that we have a special responsibility to Scotland's cinematic image. It makes perfect sense that this film, which is so strongly tied to the cultural mythology of Scotland and the beauty of the Scottish landscape, and in which Scottish talent has such a significant involvement, should be part of our festival.

Brave opens in US cinemas on June 22nd 2012 and the UK on August 17th 2012.

Tweeted an hour ago by Jerry Bruckheimer, here's your first look at Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as the eponymous cowboy hero in The Lone Ranger, the Gore Verbinski directed film which is produced by Bruckheiner and also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter. The film is slated to open in the US on May 31, 2013.

“The Lone Ranger" is a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought tolife through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice -- taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

Disney have released, via iTunes Movie Trailers,, a new poster for their latest animated movie set in the Highlands of Scotland, Brave, the 13th feature-length animated film from Pixar. Directed by Mark Andrews (The Incredibles, Ratatouille) and Brenda Chapman (The Lion King, Prince of Egypt), the film features Kelly Macdonald as the voice of Merida, a skilled archer and the daughter of King Fergus, voiced by Billy Connolly and Queen Elinor, who is voiced by Emma Thompson.

Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land:massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late.

Brave opens in US cinemas on June 22nd 2012 and the UK on August 17th 2012.
