While we've been busily going about our daily little lives Francis Ford Coppola has only gone and started making another movie! He's returning to the horror genre of his Bram Stoker's Dracula and Dementia 13 days with Twixt Now and Sunrise, for which he sought out Val Kilmer to play the lead. Well he kept that quiet!
Kilmer is starring as a horror novelist in the film, which is based on a short story written by Coppola himself. Elle Fanning (Somewhere) and Bruce Dern (The Hole 3D) are co-starring, and they are currently filming on Coppola's property in Napa. According to Deadline, Coppola is funding the film independently and hasn't sought out distribution as yet.
Hopefully this will be a return to greatness for Coppola, and it will be nice to see Kilmer in the spotlight again... after his hilarious turn as Gay Perry in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, we're his biggest fans!
