Disney must have liked, no loved what Tom Hanks and Tim Allen did for its acclaimed Toy Story 3, as it has apparently bagged the winning duo yet again to star in its newest offering Jungle Cruise, a live action flick which is based on the Magic Kingdom theme park ride of the same name. The pair, whose on screen chemistry carried Toy Story 3 to dizzy heights, will bring more on screen banter to this new flick. Each is a legend in his own right, but the teaming up of the Forrest Gump star and Buzz Lightyear's voice seems to hit the spot. The studio has also hired seasoned Disney writer Roger S.H. Schulman who has worked on the likes of Shrekk and Jungle Book 2 to write the script. With David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman, who produced The Fighter signed up to produce, Disney are pulling out all of the stops. Well, if Pirates of the Caribbean, which Disney also based on a theme park ride, is anything to go by, it seems like success is on the cards for this new flick. No director as yet though.... We predict a stampede!
