Like any good sci-fi geek, I await each and every piece of new news regarding Ridley Scott's latest SF opus Prometheus with baited breath, so imagine my joy when the movies official Facebook page finally got an update! Nope, it's not more images from the film, this time it's a new synopsis, which reveals a snippet of extra info regarding the film:
Ridley Scott, director of "Alien" and "Blade Runner," returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
Prometheus stars Ben Foster, Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce, and Michael Fassbender. The film has a release date of June 8th 2012.
