New Trailer For Disney's Tangled Revealed

A new trailer has been launched over on Moviephone for Disney's latest film and 50th animated feature, Tangled. This second trailer gives another tantalising glimpse as to what's in store.

This Rapunzel retelling centres around a Mandy Moore-voiced Rapunzel and charismatic bandit Flynn Rider (voiced by Zachary Levi). Flynn hides out in Rapunzel's tower not knowing she has been held captive there for years, and where she goes on to hold him hostage. Eager to escape her prison, she makes a deal with Flynn to help her escape. The two set off on a madcap adventure accompanied by Flynn's faithful horse and Rapunzel's chameleon companion and are pursued by various thugs and undesirables.

From the trailer we can see that Disney has tried to create a more boy-friendly vibe by incorporating a humorous male lead and intensifying the action sequences. Compared to last year's charming The Princess And The Frog, which signified Disneys's triumphant return to hand drawn animation after 5 years, it is slightly disappointing that they have turned to 3D animation once again. However, although Tangled will be shown in 3D, animator Glen Keane still wanted to encorporate a hand-drawn look and feel to the style. Have a look at the trailer below.
