For those of you looking forward to another dose of animated hero action a la The Incredibles you will be pleased to note that Dreamworks have released a third trailer for their next release Megamind . So far the trailers have offered little clue as to the real plot but in this new trailer we are given more of an insight.
Will Ferrell voices the main character Megamind and as with Superman he is sent from his home planet to Earth. Brad Pitt's character Metro-Man is also sent to Earth and the two grow up simultaneously, Mastermind becoming a villain and Metro-Man becoming a superhero.
Then some new supervillians turn up to take over the city and Metro-Man is nowhere to be found (it seems he's got his heart set on pursuing a music career) and the responsibility falls to Megamind to save the day. There are some great tongue-in-cheek jokes and references within the trailer such as the prison for the ?Criminally Gifted' and a gag with an invisible car, and with the addition of Jonah Hill and Tina Fey, the characters seem well-voiced. Of course there will be inevitable comparisons to The Incredibles but the script sounds engaging and funny and from what we see in the trailer the characters have charisma.
