Matt Damon Joining Cameron Crowe's Zoo?

Clearly murderous government agencies and Iraqi bomb sites aren't enough of a challenge for Matt Damon, the star of the Bourne franchise and the recent endeavour Green Zone, so now he's looking to take on lions, tigers and bears in Cameron Crowe's upcoming flick, We Bought A Zoo.

Based on the bestselling memoir of the same name by Benjamin Mee, the film will centres on the real life story of the author, a widowed father who, looking for a fresh start, bought a dilapidated zoo in the English countryside and set about refurbishing the zoo to run it as a family business.

If Damon signs on he will be playing Benjamin Mee, with Crowe directing from a script by Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada).
