Kill The Irishman Trailer Released

Ray Stevenson’s Danny Green is seemingly indestructable… Monday, December 13th 2010 | 12:28:22

The first trailer for Jonathan Hensleigh's latest feature Kill The Irishman is upon us and we bring it to you thanks to Yahoo Movies.

Ray Stevenson plays real-life mobster Danny Green in all his 70’s glory, hideous dress sense and all, as he evades the numerous crime bosses who want him dead. After coming from nothing and making a name for himself as a Mafia enforcer in Cleveland, Ohio, he provoked outrage by leaving his Italian connections and going it alone.

Publically baiting fellow gangsters to kill him, he managed to survive numerous attempts on his life, thus earning himself the title of "the man the mob couldn't kill". There is an impressive ensemble cast including Vincent D'Onofrio, Val Kilmer, and Christopher Walken, along with Vinnie Jones, Paul Sorvino and Robert Davi who all look like they’re having fun reliving the 70’s.

Jonathan Hensleigh directed and wrote the screenplay with Jeremy Walters, which is based on Rick Porrello's book To Kill an Irishman: The War That Crippled the Mafia, though how closely it sticks to the true events is yet to be seen.
