Jonathan Liebesman To Direct Clash Of The Titans 2

Even though it was a poorly acted, horrifically edited, shockingly wasteful pile of utter nonsense, we've always known that a sequel to Clash Of The Titans was in the works and now it seems the none-less-wanted follow-up is ready to roll with the announcement of a new director.

The helmer chosen to follow in the footsteps of Louis Leterrier is none other than Jonathan Liebesman, the guy who brought us The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and Darkness Falls and who will soon be blowing up stuff in cinemas with the sci-fi flick Battle: Los Angeles.

Heat Vision tells us that Warner Bros has signed Liebesman to direct the sequel and, according to the report, money was one of the main factors which took this deal so long to go through, as was "the hurdle of overcoming the negative perception of this year's initial installment."

While we can understand Liebesman's desire to make a tentpole movie, we can't help but think this is all rather a bad idea. Such was the negative response to the first movie, he will have to do some seriously hard work to escape with his reputation intact. Time, we guess, will tell if Liebesman is up to the challenge.
