Those Sherlock Holmes 2 casting announcements are coming in thick and fast now with the news that Mad Men star Jared Harris is being named as the possible frontrunner to face-off against Robert Downey Jr.'s great detective.
If all goes according to plan, the Pryce in Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce will be joining the likes of Noomi Rapace and Stephen Fry in the Guy Ritchie-directed follow-up. And, if the rumours are to be believed, he'll be playing none other than the Napoleon of Crime himself, Professor Moriarty.
Harris is currently best known for Mad Men's uptight Lane Pryce (you may have also seen him in the likes of Natural Born Killers, Far and Away and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and has also recently been cast in the remake of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. He's well known for an ability to combine charm with a sinister slipperiness that would lend itself very well to Arthur Conan Doyle's iconic character - all of which makes us think he's a cracking choice for the role.
