Yes, folks after numerous teasing clips released across the interwebs today, Marvel and Paramount have finally seen fit to release a brand-new trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger, the big screen adaptation of one of Marvel’s most iconic characters.

Chris Evans has the titular role alongside Hayley Atwell, Tommy Lee Jones and Hugo Weaving as the evil Red Skull. Now aside from the rather ropey looking “skinny Chris” CGI I have to say I’m impressed with what we can see in the trailer – just a shame that they decided to let good old Cap use a sidearm, rather than just fight with his shield as he did for years in the original comics. But hey-ho, they’re two minor niggles in what looks like is going to be awesome summer blockbuster!
Captain America: The First Avenger stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Samuel L. Jackson, Dominic Cooper, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci and Neal McDonough. The movie will be released July 22nd 2011.
