There seems to be some forward momentum with the big screen adaptation of Jack Kerouac's notorious novel, On The Road, as the Tron Legacy star Garrett Hedlund is in talks to play the part of Dean Moriarty.
The adaptation has been talked about for quite some time now - around 30 years to be more precise. It was first optioned by Francis Ford Coppola in the late '70s and then was passed around a few directors until landing in the lap of Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries), who is currently at the helm of the project.
According to Production Weekly, filming is set to begin this summer, although we won't hold our breaths because this isn't the first time a start date has been set on this troubled production.
