Buried 2

First Trailer Doesn't Show Ryan Reynolds 'Buried'

First full trailer for Buried doesn't give much away except for Ryan Reynolds being buried Thursday, July 22nd 2010 | 12:15:31

Three months after the first teaser for Buried hit the net, a full trailer for the film hosted by our friends at Yahoo enlarges on tense-making promise of the first whilst not giving too much away about how director Rodrigo Cortés is going to keep audiences visually stimulated when the only thing we're going to see for 90 minutes (the film passes in real time) is star Ryan Reynolds buried in a coffin.

The first English language film and only second feature by the Spaniard was a huge hit with audiences at Sundance earlier this year and sparked a ferocious bidding war between major distributors all anxious to get their hands on what was described by critics as one of the best, most tense and original thrillers they'd seen in years.

Check out the trailer and let us know whether you think Lionsgate are doing the film a disservice by not showing potential audiences a single moving frame of the film but rather a serious of single frames linked by Saul Bass style graphics accompanying increasingly anxious phone-calls by Reynolds's abducted truck-driver as he tries to work out a way to secure his release with only a mobile-phone and lighter to help him.
