After being attached to play J. Edgar Hoover in Clint Eastwood's as yet untitled biopic some time ago, it has now been confirmed by Leonardo DiCaprio that shooting is due to start early next year.
"It looks like, yes, infidelity is in place," joked DiCaprio of joining a non-Scorsese film, "I will be working with Clint very soon on the Hoover project. I think it's going to start very soon. Maybe January or February."
Dicaprio seems to be looking forward to getting his teeth into the meaty role of the controversial detective and one of the founders of the FBI, who has a long and notorious career. In his later years many felt he abused his power, using illegal methods to gain evidence and gathering secret files on political figures. Combined with Eastwood's directorial talent and just downright coolness we're excited to see the finished product.
