He's been busy with I Am Number 4, but now it looks like D.J. Caruso has a new project. The star has been confirmed to direct Preacher - or at least that's if his twitter profile is anything to go by, with the star happily tweeting the news to the world last night. The project previously had many names, including Sam Mendes attached to direct, but all came to nothing, and the thing has been a long an painful process. The flick is based on Garth Ennis's comic book series. Its a vampire movie in which a possesed Texas preacher who has a bone tro pick with God joins forces with a vampire on a quest to find God and hold him accountable for ignoring his responsibilities to mankind. What a task! So what do you reckon? Just another vampire movie or a fresh new vampy idea? If this sounds excatly like your cup of tea, then don't get too excited just yet, as Caruso still has a fight ahead of him, and it is not a sure thing that it'll end up on the big screen.
