Clash Of The Titans Sequel Confirmed

But the follow-up finds itself without a director... Thursday, April 29th 2010 | 12:01:48

Clash of the Titans 2 is moving forward, but the film's director Louis Leterrier isn't going with it. The stars of the Greek Gods movie, including Sam Worthington, will mostly return for the sequel, depending on whether their characters made it to the end of the first flick, of course. However, Letterier is definitely off the new project and will instead get an executive producer credit in the sequel.

The general consensus seems to be that the decision to part was mutual and that Warner Bros. didn't sack the director, despite the fact that many of the movie's now infamous technical and special effects faults can be blamed on Letterrier. Clash of the Titans did manage to make a lot of money at the box office though, bringing in close to $400 million worldwide and rising, a fact that may have played at a part in Warner Bros.' decision to start work on a sequel.

With writers already working on the script for the new film, Warner Bros. are hoping for a release as early as 2012. Will you be glad to see the return of the Titans? Let us know in the comment box below...
