DreamWorks have decided that goddarnit there just aren't enough films based on Greek Mythology being released this year, so they are going to do their part by offering up Pig Scrolls, a kid-friendly animation that Barry Sonnenfeld (Men In Black) is going to help them develop.
Pig Scrolls will be based on the Paul Shipton novel of the same name which tells the story of a talking pig called Gryllus and his endeavours to save the world. In Greek Mythology, Gryllus was once a member of Odysseus' sea-faring crew but was transformed into a pig by the deity Circe.
Pig Scrolls might mark Sonenfeld's first return to the director's chair in quite a while, although there have also been announcements that he has lined up several other gigs, including The How-To Guide For Saving The World, Swift and Men In Black 3.
