Adrien Brody has joined the cast of Woody Allen's upcoming romantic comedy Midnight In Paris. The film will begin shooting in the summer and will follow a family that travels to the French capital on a business trip. There, two young members of the party, an engaged couple, are "forced to confront the illusion that a life different from their own is better."
The cast already includes Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates, Michael Sheen and Mrs. Sarkozy herself, Carla Bruni. It's still unknown which role each actor will take in the film but Brody's role is currently being described by insiders as "flashy". The actor will next be seen by movie-goers in Predators, which has an August release in the UK.
Meanwhile, Allen's latest film, You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, debuted the other night at this year's Cannes Film Festival and will be released theatrically sometime in the autumn. After so many recent "returns to form" for the legendary comedy director, we have high hopes for this new one from Allen, who does seem to have hit his stride once again. Thoughts?
