A Kung Fu Panda For Christmas

Been missing your favourite Dreamworks characters? Well then you've a lot to look forward to, with Shrek set to make a Halloween appearance and now Kung Fu Panda to get the tinsel treatment. Dreamworks has lead the charge for animated holiday specials, with Shrek the Halls (TV) in 2007 and Merry Madagascar in 2009, this season however... they've gone one step better: 3D!

A member of the Animation Guild via Bleeding Cool confirmed that the original voice cast for Kung Fu Panda were all in place for the special, which is set to air in the US on November 24th. The Panda crew has of course been working on the sequel Kung Fu Panda : The Kaboom of Doom , due in May next year and we've even heard rumours of a TV series.

For now it looks like we can look forward to regular DreamWorks specials in the holidays, using all the latest technology. Should we be investing in 3D televisions?
