Synopsis

"THE ILLUSIONIST" (2010) is based on an unproduced script by Jacques Tati, and will be starring an animated version of Tati himself. The story is about an Illusionist in the early 1960s who is travelling around during the the beginning of television and rock 'n' roll. The Illusionist goes on stage in Paris and London one night and meets a Scottish man who invites him to his place in Iona. There, he meets a young girl working in a bar who thinks he is a real magician and they go on to Edinburgh to carry on with their relationship, until she meets someone else.
