Synopsis

"THE BLIND SIDE" depicts the remarkable true story of Michael Oher, a homeless African-American youngster from a broken home, taken in by a well-to-do white family who help him fulfill his potential as a person and as an athlete. Remarkably Oher was a first round pick in the 2009 NFL draft. At the same time, Oher's presence in the Touhys' lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own. Living in his new environment, the teen faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome. As a football player and student, Oher works hard and, with the help of his coaches and adopted family, becomes an All-American offensive left tackle. Based on the book "The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game" by Michael Lewis. Sandra Bullock stars. John Lee Hancock directs.

    ahh ha dave, i think it could be true as of today sandra bullock has moved out of the home she shares with her husband - and they are possibly splitting, which explains why the premiere of the blind side was cancelled recently.... hmmm but i have heard of curses relating to films. i think the film poltergeist apparently had a curse on it as a few of the stars died.

    the blind side is the true story of american football pro michael oher. as a teenager, michael wasn't exactly part of a stable home environment, moving around foster homes was part of the usual routine. when the mother of one of michael's class mates discovered the hardships of michael's life, she takes him in at once. what starts off as one night of kindness soon develops into a permanent arrangement as michael becomes part of the tuohy family. michael's rise to success wasn't an easy but with the help of his adopted family and tutor he turned his life around. starring: quinton aaron, sandra bullock, tim mcgraw, kathy bates, jae head, lily collins, ray mckinnon, kim dickens and adriane lenox directed by: john lee hancock
