i went to see a prophet (un prophet) this tuesday at cineworld nottingham and noticed a large cardboard cut-out just before entering saying film of the year. other than finding the free tickets i had never heard of this movie at all and i didnt even check the synopsis before i left. but to my suprise a film which is all in french with subtitles was really gripping and had a decent story-line. as far as the best movie of 2009 goes im not convinced, in my opinion law abiding citezen should have won that title. did anyone go see this movie and what are their thoughts? i found the story interesting the characters able to empasise with and for a movie with what i would have thought a small budget a good killing scene. i like the way the main character feels guilt and the almost haunting it does to him. (the smoking scene where the smoke comes out his neck was rather creepy though!) good movie?: yes movie of the year?: no
